Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentines Day, and Happy Birthday,Lily!

It has been so long since we've updated our blog. I just can't seem to find the time! Well, right now all three kids are asleep and since I don't feel very motivated to clean up the mess the "tornado" left behind in our house, I thought I'd go ahead and share a few fun pictures.

We spent Christmas at Pappy and Nanny's house in Indiana. The kids were so excited to get to ride on the plane. Unfortunately, all the snow had melted before we got there and didn't come back until after we left. Nevertheless, it was a great time with family.

I don't remember what happened on New Years and for Valentine's day, Brad and I exchanged gifts after the kids were in bed and there was some peace and quiet. Babysitters are sometimes hard to come by, so we didn't go out for Valentines day. But on the following Monday, Mark volunteered to watch the kids while they took their naps and we went out to lunch. We had as much of a good time as we could knowing that our kids were at the mercy of Mark. When we got home, they were still in bed asleep. Guess he didn't do so bad :o)

Lily turned 1 on February 22. We had a lot of family in town. (A total of 13 people staying in our house.) She had a chocolate cake and made a super big mess. She even had it on her feet and then tried to eat it off her toes.

Today we went to the park. We all needed a break after the long week. The kids had a blast and so did we. We took a picnic lunch and tried to stay warm. You would think in Florida you wouldn't have to worry about sweaters, but when we got there we wished we had packed some for ourselves.

Jacob made some new friends at the park and proceeded to tell their mom the names and ages of everyone in our family, including me! He still gets a little confused though. He tells everyone that I'm 29 and that Brad is 8. Try explaining that one!

Lydia is going through a whining stage. We are trying to help her with it, meanwhile I feel like I could just poke my eyes out listening to it! (I sound like such a terrible mom!) She is also a little timid about doing things by herself. She wanted help to go down the slide today.

Lily is our daredevil. She started walking at 9 months and is into everything. She tried climbing up the slide today, loved going down it by herself, and went higher in the swing than either of the other two.
